Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Fleety handles personal data when you visit our website, contact us, start a trial, or use Fleety to manage rental and fleet operations.
Updated on: 16 June 2026
Who we are
Fleety provides cloud-based software for vehicle rental and fleet operations. Fleety helps rental teams manage reservations, availability, vehicles, customers, payments, reminders, subcontractors, permissions, and statistics from one system.
For this website and the Fleety service, you can contact us at [email protected].
What this policy covers
This policy covers personal data we process about website visitors, people who contact Fleety, trial users, customer account users, and people whose data is entered into Fleety by a rental company.
When a rental company uses Fleety to manage its own clients, drivers, reservations, contracts, or vehicles, that company remains responsible for the data it chooses to collect and enter into Fleety. Fleety processes that data to provide the service.
Personal data we collect
The data we collect depends on how you interact with Fleety.
- Contact and lead information, such as name, work email, phone number, company name, country, fleet size, and messages sent through our forms.
- Account information, such as user name, email address, role, language preference, authentication data, and account activity.
- Rental operation data entered by customers, such as client records, driver details, reservation details, vehicle records, contracts, payment status, reminders, subcontractor records, expenses, and analytics.
- Technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device data, pages visited, timestamps, logs, and security events.
- Support information, such as messages, files, screenshots, and troubleshooting details you send to us.
How we use personal data
We use personal data only for clear business and service purposes.
- To provide, operate, secure, and improve Fleety.
- To create accounts, manage trials, authenticate users, and provide customer support.
- To process contact requests, product questions, pricing questions, and onboarding discussions.
- To support rental workflows such as reservations, fleet availability, payment tracking, reminders, permissions, and reporting.
- To monitor performance, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and protect the security of the service.
- To send service messages and, where allowed or consented to, marketing communications.
- To comply with legal, accounting, tax, regulatory, and dispute-resolution obligations.
Legal basis and Tunisia compliance
Fleety is designed for rental teams in Tunisia and international markets. We aim to process personal data in line with applicable Tunisian data protection rules, including Organic Law No. 2004-63 of 27 July 2004 on the protection of personal data, and other applicable privacy requirements.
Depending on the data and use case, we process data because it is necessary to provide the service or perform a contract, because we have a legitimate business interest, because we must comply with a legal obligation, or because we have consent.
Where Tunisian law requires declaration, authorization, consent, or specific safeguards, including for sensitive data or international transfers, Fleety will handle those requirements as applicable to the service and customer setup.
Customer data and renter data
Rental companies may use Fleety to store information about their own clients, renters, drivers, vehicles, bookings, payments, and rental operations.
The rental company is responsible for ensuring that it has the right to collect and use that data, for informing its own clients where required, and for responding to requests from its clients. Fleety will not sell customer data or use a rental company's client data to compete with that company.
Cookies and analytics
Our website may use necessary cookies for basic site functions, language preferences, security, and form protection. We may also use analytics or marketing cookies if they are enabled on the site.
If analytics or marketing cookies are used, they should help us understand site performance, improve the visitor experience, and measure campaigns. Where required, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies.
Third-party service providers
We may use trusted providers for hosting, infrastructure, email delivery, form protection, analytics, payment processing, customer support, error monitoring, and security. These providers may process personal data only as needed to provide their services to Fleety.
We do not sell personal data to third parties.
International transfers
Because Fleety is a cloud service, personal data may be processed or stored in countries outside Tunisia depending on the hosting, support, analytics, payment, or infrastructure providers used.
Where international transfers are required, Fleety will use appropriate safeguards and follow applicable authorization or legal requirements.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law, accounting rules, tax rules, security needs, or dispute resolution.
Contact requests are kept for a reasonable business follow-up period. Account and platform data is kept while the account or subscription is active, then deleted or exported according to the customer agreement and operational backup cycles. Billing and legal records may be retained for the period required by applicable law.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. These may include encrypted connections, access controls, role-based permissions, backups, monitoring, logging, and least-privilege access for team members.
No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and respond to security issues responsibly.
Your rights
Depending on where you are and which law applies, you may have the right to request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of data, restriction or objection to certain processing, withdrawal of consent, or information about how your data is used.
If your data was entered into Fleety by a rental company, you should first contact that rental company. We will support our customer where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our service, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated date at the top of the page shows when this policy was last revised.
